Privacy Policy

Who we are

HudJee is a JEE practice app being built in India. This policy covers the website at hudjee.com and its pre-registration list (the “waitlist”). “HudJee”, “we” and “us” mean the team building HudJee, who decide how the information described here is used.

The HudJee app isn’t out yet. When it launches, it will come with its own privacy policy.

What we collect

When you pre-register

• Your email address. This is the only thing you have to give us.
• Your name, the year you’re taking JEE, and whether you use Android or iPhone, if you choose to add them after registering. You can skip this step.

Recorded along with your registration

• The date and time you registered, and which of the page’s two forms you used.
• Any campaign tags in the link you followed to reach us (the utm_ parts of a web address, such as utm_source=instagram).
• The name of the website that sent you to us, if there was one. We record only the site’s name, such as t.me, not the full page address.

When you visit the site

Like any website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. It uses these to deliver the page and protect it from abuse. We don’t run analytics, advertising or social-media trackers on this site.

What we don’t collect

We don’t ask for your phone number, home address, school, coaching institute, marks or payment details.

How we use it

• To tell you when HudJee opens and to send you a confirmation email when you register.
• To keep you updated about the launch, for example early-access invites and launch timing. We send these rarely.
• To plan the launch. Your JEE year and phone type tell us which batches and which app store to prioritise. Your name lets us address emails to you.
• To understand what’s working. Campaign tags and the referring site tell us which links bring people to HudJee. We look at these in total, not person by person.
• To show how many people have registered. The count on the home page is a total, and it never shows anyone’s details.

We won’t use your details for advertising, and we won’t sell, rent or trade them.

Your consent

We collect and use your details with your consent, which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing support@hudjee.com. We will then stop emailing you and delete your details. Withdrawing doesn’t affect anything we did with your details before you asked.

Who handles it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. They handle your details only on our instructions and only to provide their service to us:

Provider	What they do for us
Supabase	Stores the waitlist in a database.
Resend	Sends our emails, so it receives your email address and name.
Vercel	Hosts the website, so it receives the visit details described above.
Google Fonts	Supplies the site’s typeface. Your browser downloads it from Google, which receives your IP address as part of that request.

Some of these providers run servers outside India, so your details may be stored or processed abroad. Apart from these providers, we share your details only if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep your details until you ask us to delete them, or until we no longer need them for the reasons above, whichever comes first. In any case, we delete waitlist details no later than 12 months after HudJee launches.

Your rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:

• tell you what details we hold about you and how we’ve used them,
• correct or complete them,
• delete them,
• stop using them, by withdrawing your consent,
• let someone you nominate exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.

Email support@hudjee.com from the address you registered with, so we can tell it’s you. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re unhappy with our reply, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

What the site saves in your browser

After you register, the site saves your email address in your own browser. That way, if you come back, it shows that you’re already on the list instead of asking you again. This saved copy stays on your device. To remove it, click “Register someone else” or clear this site’s data in your browser. Our cookie policy covers this in full.

Keeping it safe

The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The website can add registrations but can’t read the list back, and only the HudJee team can see the waitlist. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect so there is less to protect.

Students under 18

Many JEE aspirants are under 18. If you are, please register only with your parent’s or guardian’s permission. A parent or guardian can email us to see or delete their child’s details. We don’t track, profile or target advertising at anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you’ve already given us, we’ll email everyone on the waitlist before it takes effect.
